| GENERAL |
| A big notation and a lot of abbreviations are not needed, because I have used for schemes etc. a lay-out in a clear and coloured way with line spacing and enough text space for the necessary explanations. |
| RELAY - notation (and nomenclature) | ||
| Relayer,
the hand that is relaying Responder to Relays, the hand that is responding to relays |
R
in brown | Relayer, the hand that is relaying |
RR
in blue | Responder to Relayer |
RR
in black | in case R becomes RR |
R
in green |
and automatically RR becomes R |
RR
in bright blue | R can become again/returns to RR |
R
in grey | and automatically RR becomes again/returns to R |
In
this way you immediately can see in all the sequences or parts of
a sequence who is the Relayer and the Responder on the colour of a
bid and at the same time if there were changes in R/RR during the
previous bidding sequence. Consequently f.e. a 1st/2nd seat opening
in the 8-12 range is a RR colour coded
one because partner is the R (Relayer = captain ;-). |
RELAY
ITSELF
I use brackets
ànd at the same time in above colour code. Why?, could you
say; a relay is a relay = R. The kind of brackets with their meanings: |
[
]
standard one | strongest bid, and because the strongest one valid for complete/exact distribution asking |
{
}
special one | f.e. stopper ask etc. |
]
strange one | f.e. strong or weak relay |
}
within a special one | f.e. bid 3NT with y and continue with z |
[
}
two way | f.e. if y then continue with exact distribution, if z then bid .... |
!
exception | f.e.3
you may rest assured that you will not find many of those. If so then comprehensible. |
In
case of no relay I use no notatation if a bid is forcing , because (previous)
sequences and bids are clear normally
