with a major suit ànd with Top control only see example
1spade/1spade 0-15 natural or semi-natural and forcing
1spade 0-12/13 asking for a minor fit (or a major 6-carder)
2spade/2spade 8-14 natural and non-forcing, good 6-carder
2spade 0-12 5/5 minors or Majors (not interested in a 6 crd. Major)
3spade/3spade 8-14 as the 2spade/2spade but with more winning tricks
even with f.e. 13-14p. without major suit, you must be prepared what RR's bid will be probably, seeing your own hand regarding the right hand as declarer (see example)

OR You can use the singleton openings for the 8carder 1- suiters see scheme.
In that case in combination with the 3hearts opening-4club singleton or void + 4hearts opening openings fot the 9 carders you can use the first scheme now in following way:

[1] - [1spade]
?
  9/10 carders (1 suiter) ONLY
Bid HCP
Singleton/void in
Description
2hearts opening 6-8
?
9 carder realy bad points
OR 10 carder with no Ace or KQ that suit (can have K only)
2hearts opening 6-10
?
9 carder min/max with club singleton or void
9 carder maximum with club singleton or void
or any 10 carder) with KQ in that suit
3hearts opening 6-10

9 carder minimum with club singleton or void
3hearts opening! 7
?
AK hearts opening 10card no side value
3hearts opening 12
?
any 10 carder with Ace in that suit (or AQ)

I prefer this scheme more because the 8 carder happens more and you know the s/v and complete distribution
with the bid of 4, you can use end- signal etc.
For the 9-carder you know on forehand AK and the side values (Queen or King) = 3-4 +4 opening but no exact distribution. (You can ask fore but, I admit, rather high level).
in case of no AK you can ask for distribution (will follow).

BUT:
I prefer most to have a real uniformity see the Deltex scheme (= normal Delta singleton openings but the 1-suiter 8, 9,10,11 and 12-carder included, complete with exact distribution and min or max in the range. All under 4 level!

following bids are the 8 or 9 carders from the Extreme shapes (8221,8311,8320 & 9211, 9220, 9310)
in 1st or 2nd position only. No new schemes to learn but simply the balanced 7222 scheme.
Direct answers as there were given a [2
hearts opening] relay over the 2diamonds opening (7222) bid. In this way you get good information regarding min/max ànd at the same time the quality of the 8/9 carder. Sorting out the exact distribution takes too much bidding space.
Reason why at the end of this page an alternative - again with using an existing logical scheme - with information of min/maximum; at a decent level the exact distribution is known; but no solid gags and suit quality information.

Note: Solid 8 carder = AKQ

AK in 9 carder with of without side value = a 4 opening
AKQ in 9 carder with of without side value = a 4 opening

If you know/presume which suit is the 8/9 carder with a maximum ànd by bidding the 1st. step (= normally the non forcing bid)
it can be 15+ too, thus you were interested how the maximum looks like. Rest is sytem on again (in spite of non forcing bid).
