In
1st/2nd seat Openings we use the special double-transfer balanced scheme AND
in openings after Pass with 6-11 points:
- in sequence: [Pass] - [1
]
- [1
]
- and then 1
/2
openings = 6-11 points
- in sequence: [Pass] - [1
]
- [1
]
- and then 1
/3
= 6-11 points and the 1
opening (as if there were given a [1
]
relay)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In
all other cases (13+ opposite 12+) the main/standard scheme for which the diviation
for the distribution types is:
- 4333,4432
- each suit 5332,5422, 6322 (so no specification for 5332 poor/good suit)
- 7222 with indication poor/good suit or closed with indication of the side
values
In general:
- 2
bid = Majors, or 4333,4432, or 7222 poor suit, or 7222 closed with minimum side
values
- 2
bid = minors, or 7222 good suit, or 7222 closed with maximum side values
In ++ or + opposite ++ and others same principle.
next step is asking for explanation of the 2
and 2
bids
- 4333/4432 with 2![]()
-
suit
or
suit
with the lowest bid (= without indication on purpose of which distribution)
-
suit
or
suit
with the 2 next lowest bids (a bit more information - 5332/5422 or 6322, but
no indication exact distribution)
- the 7222 with 3
-3
directly
so R is not obliged to ask for exact distribution for the 4333-6322 shapes
(bid game, stopper asking, asking for a 3card support, special spiral scan)
in case of distribution asking
| 4333 4333/4432 | 2 |
type self known with the bid of 2 |
| 5332 | 3 |
including 5422 with the lowest 4 card |
| 5422 | 3 |
the two highest 4cards only |
| 6322 | 3 |
(or
eventually 3 |
(go to explanation of the Balanced set-tup through the whole system)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's start with the double transfer scheme with
its own structure and answers in the 1st/2nd seat

For
these openings (1
-
2
)
following 'rule' in case of a Relay:
-
1st. step = minimum for the given distribution types and for the 6322 distribution
with the indication of a poor suit
(- 2nd3rd step = for the minors: indication 5m4M22)
- next step maximum all but 6322 poor suit,
( if in case there is no bidding space letf for exact distrubution asking
aftrwards use 2 bids -highest is 6332-)
- next step is a minimum 6322 but with good suit
- next step(s) is/are a maximum 6322 with good suit
- 6322 closed in all suits bidable, but for
and
only with description of the exact sidevalues
Because
of priority to indicate if the 6322 suit is of good or poor quality (so
you will be able, knowing the pointrange, to set the best contract)
the answer-scheme is not uniform. (you can't have all).
