VARIETY CLUB CHILDREN'S CHARITY

The Variety Club Children’s Charity has spent over 50 years helping sick, disabled or disadvantaged children throughout the country have a better life. Formed in the United Kingdom in 1949, it has raised more than £170 million – money that has been used to make a real and lasting difference to childrens’ lives.
Its annual Gold Heart Day appeal has been the single most successful fundraising campaign in Variety’s history, generating over £26 million since its launch in 1991. The charity is also well-known for answering numerous appeals including providing electric wheelchairs to disabled children.
Variety has provided over 4,000 Sunshine Coaches to deserving organisations. There really is no other charity like Variety Club – it spends very little on overheads, so ensuring that a high proportion of money raised goes directly to the children who matter.
