Clans are a common thing in the Gargoyles fandom. A group of people, friends usually, who end up having their own homepage, their own story-universe, maybe even their own chatroom. Within this story universe the members then roleplay or write stories. A few years ago I too joined a clan, in a rather unusual way. I was tricked into it. This clan is the Arcadia Clan, to which this section is dedicated. The Arcadia story universe in a nutshell is this: first the universe was created. That is always a good place to start. From this creation came the so-called firstborn, powerfull beings who have something to do with creation, even if the exact details escape me at the moment. More to the point is the island of Arcadia, on a planet somewhere far away. It is ruled by the firstborn The Master and devided up in several sections, each ruled by one of his trusted friends. There are the Plains, mainly inhabitted by humans, the Cliffs, primarily occupied by gargoyles, the Mines, where the dwarves live, the Isle of Fay, where most of the faeries live, etc... In short, it's a place where just about every creature of mythology can be found. There's a storyline spanning thousands of years, so clearly there's more than enough to work with. More than that though, it is a way for people to stay in touch with each other, and something to have in common. It has been the story universe for the stories I wrote so far and the inspiration of pictures. The Arcadia Clan - Go visit the Arcadia Clan.
