Who was Maximiano do Rozario? They lived in Melaka (Malacca, Malaysia).
Was his father one of the first Portuguese immigrants in Melaka??
Who are my ancestors??? Those questions have haunted me for a very long time.
On November the 19th 2005 I received some very relevant information from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
His Excellency Mr. John von Mühlen, former Ambassador of The Netherlands, asked the St. Peters Church in Melaka for an
extract of the Baptism Record of Justinian Joseph George de Rozario, born August the 27th 1857 at Melaka.
Reverend 'Moses Lui' wrote that on the Extract is written,
On October the 4th 1857 I baptized and anoint Justiano, born August the 27th last, son
of Jorge do Rozario and Anna do Rozario. Grand parents from fathers side,
Peter do Rozario and Joaquem na Lazaro; Grand Parents from mothers side, Christina Freire;
Godfather and Godmother were Maximiano do Rozario and Beatris de Santa Maria.
