    bevis frond estate

  • The Bevis Frond Estate (Respect Vinyl) - 2011
    - I Think It's Time
    - She Got Me Good
    - Life Support
    - Tell Me When I'm Gone

    Note from Nick:
"Here's the story. My friend Simon Bardwell in Norwich has decided to start a label (Respect vinyl) doing just limited edition 7" vinyl EPs. Very flatteringly he asked me to be the first artist on the new imprint. I went to the vaults and found 4 suitably EP-like unreleased tracks (well at least I think they're unreleased) and offered them. I reckon the tracks are somewhere between Fred Bison and traditional Frond, in that they're a bit garagey and primitive, but more polished than Fred. I also designed a sleeve using a photo I took in 1968 of my mates Mick, Dave & Mark walking through the Barrow Hill Estate (hence the title) near where we all grew up. Simon gave me 100 copies which we agreed I would only sell at live gigs. The remaining 400 will be sold by mail order. When they're gone that's it. He won't be doing represses."
