Part One

(Reprise - R6247 mono, R6247 stereo - 1967)

part one

This is their first album for a major company (hence the title...), which offered a similarly styled mixture to that of its predecessor, although the songs were far more daring.

Probable line-up includes Michael Lloyd (vocals/guitar), Ron Morgan (lead guitar) Danny Harris (guitar), Shaun Harris (vocals, bass), Bob Markely (vocals), and either Hal Blaine or Jimmy Gordon (drums).

  • Shifting Sands. (Baker Knight) 2:51
  • I Won't Hurt You. (Harris-Lloyd-Markley) 2:21
  • 1906. (Markley-Morgan) 2:18
  • Help, I'm A Rock. (Frank Zappa) 4:22
  • Will You Walk With Me. (Dan Harris) 2:57
  • Transparent Day. (Harris-Markley) 2:15
  • Leiyla. (Harris-Markley) 2:51
  • Here's Where You Belong. (P.F.Sloan) 2:47
  • If You Want This Love. (Baker Knight) 2:47
  • 'Scuse Me, Miss Rose. (Bob Johnston) 3:01
  • High Coin. (Van Dyke Parks) 1:52

Notes:
Most of the Lead Vocals were handled by Shaun Harris.
I Won't Hurt You and If You Want This Love are different (better) versions than the ones on their first album.
A single of this album was released but without much success: '1906' b/w 'Shifting Sands' (Reprise 0552, 1967)
A cover version of I Won't Hurt You was recorded by Episode 6 and released as a single under the name of Neo Maya (a pseudonym used by Episode Six member Graham Carter) in 1967 (Pye 7N 17371). Episode Six contained two members who subsequently joined Deep Purple during their most popular phase: Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.

The CD version (Sundazed SC 6173, issued in 2001) contains two bonus tracks:
- Help, I'm A Rock (single mix)
- Transparent Day (single mix)
