Two enormous hinges .

On Port & Starboard side right behind the moonpool they made two openings where the hinges will be placed . On these hinges, the pipelay tower will be mounted.

The moonpool before the seven seas was launced. A moonpool is a large square opening in the center of the vessel (in this case) and this is where the flexible pipe will leave the ship on its way down to the ocean floor.
