My

1963 VW Beetle Convertible project
(click on thumbnail for large picture)

Bought this stranded project in Belgium.

When I bought my other 1964 convertible in 2004, I came in contact with Peter (firefighter) from Belgium. He started working on a 1963 convertible in the same period. Due to circumstances the 1963 convertible came on the market in july 2008. I didn't hesitate and bought it from him. Now our 1970 bus and the works on our house are finished (if you ever get done...), this project is next!
The way Peter bought it and the NOS body work panels that he used:
The day I bought it from Peter and took his baby home.

Lots of the N.O.S and special parts I have collected in the last years will be used in completing this convertible.

August 2010, our bus is finished and the convertible is next!
Mai 2011 and there has not been done that much... :)
August 2011, the chassis is ready for the pre-build, body welding and testfitting all the body parts. Got myself a nice set of steel Porsche wheels and front diskbrake setup with lowered spindles. Cleaned up the fire wall, smoothened the new rockers and found a nice oldscool TDE aircleaner set at the Bad Camberg show.
