Our 2 Flemish Giants: Schnuffi & Anka.
Schnuffi - in profile. May 2006.
Although he is the chief, she does what she wants. May 2006.
The daily grooming session. He certainly enjoys it and starts making clicking noises with his teeth. May 2006.
When Anka "flops" she rolls over on her back and then lies on her side. The only odd thing is that she often keeps her head in (what looks to us) a very uncomfortable position...halfway in the air. May 2006.
Schnuffi is normally not very fotogenic, generally because his eyes are mostly invisible, but here he looks good. May 2006.
Kissing rabbits. May 2006.
I leave the cleaning of the ears to them, May 2006.
Not her foot hanging over his back. She "landed" on him and slid in between the border and his body. May 2006.
Schnuffi jawning...not an uncommon sight! Taken in 2006.
Anka sleeping. Also not an uncommon sight. Her double chin provides a nice frame. Taken in 2006.
Anka was very busy around Easter 2006, building a nest. We were away for a weekend. Upon returning, I placed some fresh straw near the cage and she immediately started collecting it to enlarge her nest. She returned about 5-6 times to collect more straw.
She was pulling all her stomach hair out and brought it to the nest.
Anka's favourite sleeping position. Warm and soft. (2006)

Anka's first week here (2005)
The first meeting of baby Anka (8 weeks old) and 1 year old Schnuffi. He was not very happy about having to share his garden. For the first 3 weeks, he kept biting her whenever she came near him. Thereafter they became unseperable.(2005)
Schnuffi in September 2004, when he was still young but already fully grown. After 5-6 months he had grown to he full size.
Schnuffi in September 2004

Schnuffi in September 2004. He often makes flops and lands on his side. Especially if a blacket is placed on the ground. In that case he first starts jumping in the air and races around as fast as possible. When he starts getting ired he eventually flops. Anka reacts in the same way to blankets.
Schnuffi in July 2004. He is all ears.
Schnuffi having a meal.
Beware of the rabbit!
did a fly land in his ear?...
