STEP 1. Create a new document, in this case 200x200px with a black o any other dark color.

STEP 2. Create a new layer then name it "gum" select the brush tool , and then select the next foreground color : 3C3BBA and start drawing this shape and then select the next color to finish your shape : AE002C.

 
** You should get a image like this :

STEP 3. Then start coloring it inside , use different colors , think about the light color , the shadow : dark colors ! , look how i done it here below, I start first with the blue part and select different colors as you can see.

STEP 4. Okay now we can start getting artistic :-), pick up the smooth tool , and then start smoothing those blue parts like below , use your smoothing way the same direction as you gum perspective !

STEP 5. Okay now we start with the red part , do the same now like step 2,3 and 4 ! Don't forget when you use the smooth tool , you have to smooth the colors the same direction as the perspective of the gum !!

STEP 6. Okay now we start cleaning our gum and we clean the lines , for doing that you can use just eraser tool or polygonal lasso tool ...and then erase ! use your imagination ;), finish the job !
