A 3.5 inch gauge coal fired live steam locomotive, designed by 'LBSC'.

After the Royal Scot on gauge 1,  I decided to tackle a bigger engine. A 3.5” GER 0-6-2 N7 class loco was built (started 1983, first steamed 1990, and finally painted in 1995).

The construction of the locomotive is described in a booklet  'Mona, a simple tank engine'  by 'LBSC'. Following the ‘words and music’ of ‘LBSC’  this little engine (it only has a weight of 25 kg and is about 80 cm long)  has become a very good passenger hauling locomotive, which I drive regularly.

Blue locomotive with white roof, just like our car!

It's easy to fire, can go very fast and can be in steam a complete day without any problems.

Although the loco is often used at the track, it lives mostly on a plint in the livingroom
