The Elevator

You enter what should be about the largest room you have seen thus far. Your walking area is limited, though. To your left are lots and lots of weapons, each with it's own screen, giving a detailed description about the weapon, containing things like range, accuracy and the likes.
To your right are several slots for people to shoot from. The area behind the slots is the largest part of the room, with about 50 metres to go untill you meet the first wall. Most of the slots are used and a lot of people are discussing the effectiveness and personal likes and dislikes of certain weapons.

A lot of people are standing around one slot, all looking at the records of a girl. She was small, around eighteen with her long hair reaching untill about her back. On the right part of her top was a small Gamma.
"Geez, Eva, did you shoot only once?" a man asked, looking at the small hole in the middle of the head.
The girl, assumingly Eva, smiled as she reloaded her rifle.
"No," was the answer "I emptied a clip."
Slightly further was a pair of people standing, one of them holding what seemed like a LAW.
"I can't seem to see how this thing fires..." the one not holding the weapon said "Where does the missile come from?"
"This small hatch first opens..." the other one explained "Here, I'll show you. Don't stand behind me!"
As the pair stands in a slot and fires the weapon, a small projectile is shot from the weapon's front, heading at deadman's speed to it's target and completely obliterating it.
"That's the new attachment to the L6B1," the man explains "It only recently came through the tests..."

The first weapon is a small one, red, with a crystal just above the trigger.
This weapon is the L4 laser sidearm. This weapon is special to the other weapons in that it requires no ammunition to operate. Instead, the crystal inside the weapon is activated by rapidly shaking the weapon, causing the gasses and the solids inside the weapon to react with eachother and generate enough power for twelve shots on the highest stance. After about 1.000.000 reloads like this, the crystal will start to wear out and will render the weapon useless. The only person to achieve this, though, is the now retired Rikko Gratein, also known as G-Lead. In fact, he already used up two of this guns through his carreer.

The next weapon looks like a larger version of the L4, with a box next to it.
This weapon is the L6B1 Interchangable Combat System (ICS). The ICS is a versatile weapon, being effectively three weapons into one.
Without any addons, the L6B1 is a normal rifle. Being able to be set on fullautomatic, halfautomatic or even
bolt-action, this version is often used by the commando's during long missions, in pair with a battery recharger. The weapon is reloaded through the hatch on the back of the weapon. With a full battery and standing on the highest stance, the stripped L6B1 will be able to fire about 30 shots. With only paralyzing shots, the battery will last for about 100 shots.
The sniper attachment of the L6B1 does everything it's name suggests it does. It first adds a scope to the weapon which is linkable with the visors of the commando's. Next it creates a longer barrel, improving the effective accuracy. Last, it highly powers up the power of the shots, effectively tripling the damage done by it but halfing the total amount of ammunition it is able to use. The batteries will only last half of the amount of shots they would be able to make with the normal version.
The final version is new, being barely out of it's testing face. This will basically turn the L6B1 from a rifle to a guided missile launcher. Going from small battery ammunition to large missile ammunition, a seperate box of ammo needs to be carried with the weapon. In one clip will go six missiles. The clips are, unlike the batteries of the other stances, not rechargable on the field, making it hard to carry more the five or six clips with you without losing free movement.

Next up was a weapon that looked suspiciously much like the L4 in size, but had two different clips.
This weapon is the P5 particle launcher. In the ranks popularly called 'Particle Gun', the names both are straightforward to the function of the weapon. Though small, the gun is highly lethal. At the moment the trigger is pulled, a set of three particles is fired, going at extreme speeds towards their target. Once hit, the three particles will start to react with eachother and disrupt the atomic structure of the target within a two metres radius. In simple language: after about three seconds, there will be a hole with a radius of two metres from the point of impact. More often then not this leads to enormous splash damage and a very relyable way to force entry.
The bad part of the weapon is that it requires two different clips. First there is the battery, which is also used in the L6B1, to create the power that is needed to accellerate the particles to the desired speeds. Second there is the particle clip. This clip contains the particles that will be fired at the target. This clip is not rechargable on the field, but has to be recharged in a laboratory that carries the right equipment to fill the clip with particles that are prepared for the shot.

Following up was the set of a knife, a sword and a double-bladed sword.
This three weapons are preferred to not be used as long-range weapons, but are surely able to be used like that. The daggers are almost always used like this, having a weighted handle to increase movement speed and throwing distance. The dagger's shape is of special design to further increase throwing range and accuracy.
The singular sword is mostly used by the so-called 'speed crew'. This teams rely on speed and agility to stay alive as they get close enough to the enemy to be lethal. When they are close enough, most enemies are unable to give any resistance, spelling certain death.
The double-bladed sword is not used anymore. The first reason for this is that it is extremely hard to use without cutting yourself up. The second reason is that the design is by Rikko Gratein, who is known for his strange behavior during battle. He is the only who was able to master it and use it succesfully in combat situations. Especially in closed rooms, the weapon was extremely effective.

Next was what seemed like a watch with a large, bowed, transparent plate attached to it.
The energy shield is only issued to commando's. The shield is customised to fit body size and thus perfect for only one person, and that is the person it is customised for.
When deactivated, the energy shield is only good for showing the current time. When activated, the shield will appear, covering at least 70% of the user's body from most harm. For as far as tested, live ammunition (bullets, missiles) and electric ammunition (lasers, shocks) are unable to penetrate the shield.
The shield knows what to stop and what not. This allows the user to aim a gun through it or grab something, but also to beat someone with it.

The final thing was something completely different. It was a small visor, slightly larger then the average ear.
The combat visor is probably one of the most advanced pieces of equipment that is issued generally. When in normal mode, the visor will only cover the left eye and ear. This way, the visor will allow basic information and communication exchange, but nothing more.
When in full mode, the visor will act like a bulletproof helmet, completely covering the head of the wearer. When in this mode, the visor will be able to do everything it could in normal mode, with the adition of aiming assistance, water and oxygen supply and visual communication with others who wear a communication device.
