PREY CATCHING IN THE WILD AND OR IN CAPTIVITY....

As the python slowly draws the first part of the body in a S like shape, ready to throw itself forward, the tail end also comes forward, to start the strangulation. When the prey is at a good spot the snakes quickly bites it firmly behind the neck, making advantage of the numerous sharp backly curved teeth it has. At the same time its getting a coil of the body near the head of the prey, to prevent the prey from biting / attacking the snakes body. At that time the middle part of the snakes starts wrapping around the prey. The snake keeps the jaws on the prey, until death has set in. Remember that all off this happens in the same time you can say AU !!!!
