Readme for tinycalc.tos (c) by H. Robbers Amsterdam feb 2013
Tinycalc is a small commandline tool for parsing and evaluating
expressions in form of standard lower grade formulas.
Tinycalc has been derived from the CALC program that is part
of the AHCC distribution AHCC.ATARI.ORG
By the same token, tinycalc will become part of that distribution.
But for those not interested in compilers, tinycalc will also
be a distribution of its own. TINYCALC.ZIP
Formulas take a well known form which is best demonstrated
in a few examples:
5*8
4+3+21219
(5*9)(4*8)
8*94*8
5^24^2
sin 15 * cos 15
sqrt 2 /* yields 1.404... */
sqr 2 /* yields 4 */
expressions between parentheses are treated as primaries.
Operator precedence is handled correctly without the need of
parentheses
summary of operators:
binaries + precedence:
or 1
and 1
+ 3
 3
/ 5
* 5
^ 7
unaries (NB: All unary operators have the same priority which
is higher than that of any binary operator.

+
V /* same as sqrt */
sqrt
sqr
sin cos tan
asin acos atan
asinh acosh atanh
log10 ln exp
tor /* convert degrees to radials */
tod /* convert radials to degrees */
The progran is best used under freeMiNT and Toswin2.
Leave the program by typing ex and return.
Have fun!!
