Brook Coatsworth is a 26 year old Pitcher joining Olympia Haarlem for his first season after completing a successful winter-ball season playing for the Perth Baseball Club in the Western Australia State league. Prior to the season in Australia Brook has played several years for his home club the Leaside Leafs playing out of Toronto, Canada and has lead the club to several successful seasons including three recent provincial championships. He is also a member of the Great Britain National Team Program and hopes to have an opportunity to play for them once again in 2009. Brook's career in baseball includes pitching for two collegiate teams, one Canada and the first in the United States. He
received a baseball scholarship to Bacone College in the States after high school, while playing for the top All-star team in is home province of Ontario, and pitched three great seasons in an extremely tough conference with a 9-0 record and 2.67 ERA in 50.6 innings during his junior year. After completing a degree in Business Administration Brook continued his education back in Canada earning a Bachelors Degree in Economics, all while playing varsity baseball and lead his team to aProvincial
Championship in His final year at the University of Western Ontario.
Brook lives in Toronto, Ontario when he is not over-seas playing baseball. Both of his parents still live in Toronto as his father was born and raised there, while his mother was born in Great Britain. Brook took some time off competitive baseball after he graduated from the University of Western Ontario and started a consulting company that worked with Not-for-profit organizations in Canada helping rebuild and restructure them to an operating state.
Brook is extremely excited about his opportunity to play with the Olympia Haarlem club and plans on helping the club succeed in all of the upcoming season's goals.
