How come you’ve got these pages up?
“Well, I could no longer avoid it”... could be an answer to that. I’m not one of these people with an unresistable urge to claim their spot on the web. In my view it’s a nice gathering-place of loads and loads of information which can be used to learn something from it. Share the experiences and the knowledge. Very valuable. Or read the latest headlines in the news. Yep.. we’re in the information-age...

With the latest stuff coming from Apple - especially the iWeb application - I felt that I should put it up in order to share my part of the cake on how to customise it.

A few months down the road, a lot of things are happening. A lot of freeware and shareware applications have seen the light, which do make life a lot easier.

To the right of this page you’ll find a number of tools I’ve been using to get results with iWeb modding.
One of the tools I couldn’t have done without is “Taco HTML Edit”. Maybe not perfect in all features, I do recommend it wholeheartedly. For me it has made the Template XML code readable and understandable.
(end commercial break ;-) ).

A final word of warning for those who want to attempt to modify everything-and-the-moon in a webtemplate:
DO MAKE BACKUPS. PLEASE DO MAKE BACKUPS.
You’ll only have to run into FUBAR’ing your iWeb with your hefty template and mods... having to start from scratch and losing huge amounts of time over it... and you’ll know what I mean with “do make backups”. Just to be sure.

About me
I’m Paul, I am a 44 year old male, living in the Netherlands and seem to blessed with a weird set of talents. Sometimes I can even surprise myself. I’ve got a -sometimes not so practical- tendency to dig deep into things that attract my interest. Once I get to know a mechanism behind something and have analysed it to my satisfaction, it’s knowledge gainded. If it’s not challenging anymore, I tend to leave stuff as it is and move on to the next thing that gains my interest.
An investigating mind some would say. I guess it’s true.

What keeps me busy?
A lot of things actually. In daily life I’m married to Merel (we got married last year) and together we have 5 kids, in the ages 6,9,13,16 and 20 years old. It’s fun most of the times, sometimes there are moments it’s a bit (to) lively! In my professional life I’m currently starting up my own business. Demanding and thrilling times.
