Tekstvak: CIRCUITO COMPETICION 1600 In one of the recent offerings on e-bay this set was offered for sale. This is indeed one of the most special sets ever made for the AFX range of product. First because of the very special photo of AYRTON SENNA racing the TOLEMAN on the box lid. Overtime SENNA, a hero in Brazil ,has become one of the most famous F-1 drivers ever. In 1984 Comansi purchased the complete inventory of Aurora in Holland ,they wanted to protect their successful sales of Aurora in Spain. The president of Comansi, Mr Berzes, owned a factory making polystyrofoam packaging. We tried to combine the two, making a ready to race play set, like an AURORA SCREECHERS set. The set was sold as an exclusive by a department store EL CORTINGLES. Comansi still used AFX, in 1986 forced by Tomy to change to AFY As the inventory of cars was very unbalanced each set contained different cars. Most of the cars used had a made in Ireland sticker on the chassis. Another thing with makes this set very special for collectors is the screw type mini ruskitt handcontrollers. Only licensees made this type of handcontrollers. The sets were shipped in a specially made outercarton with the set number printed on. To me this set has a special place in an AURORA museum.
