TYCO as the best me-too company, becoming successful with copying glow in the dark and cliffhangers. However AURORA in Europe had a total different position. The competition forced us to give much more attention to box lids. The artwork of POLICE RACE AND CHASE set won three creative prices, STOP POLICE is another price winning box top. Both the FLAMETHROWER AND LOOP DE LOOP sets belong in a museum of modern art. Every serious Aurora collector should have at least one framed at his hobby room. Of course next to the famous Aurora Monte Carlo poster with the curve in front of the LOEUWIS HOTEL. This time I show my favorite, MIDNIGHT TRUCKSTAR set, not because it is the best but it shows the glamour of trucking. This set was developed in cooperation with a magazine in Holland that just started, TRUCKSTAR, and was sold as an exclusive to its readers. We participated with the second TRUCKSTAR FESTIVAL ON THE CIRCUIT OF ZANDVOORT, a beautiful poster was printed, however this one is lost in collection. May be one of the readers has one so we can show it next time. Trucking became for us a good selling collection, that is why we created more truck labels. like LAREDOUTE, IPEX, SPEEDLINE and of course the TEAM TRUCK LABELS. Also the container line in Europe was bigger like the Esso and shell 20” Containers. Tekstvak: THE WINNER OF OUR APRIL QUIZ IS …………..
