Part 3 (Wadden islands)

There are five main islands here and 2 minor ones. From Den Helder we take the boat (25 minutes) to go to the first island of The Wadden: Texel.

The island of Texel

The island of Texel has 13.800 residents, 7 villages, 30 km of beach, 1 lighthouse and 35.000 sheep.

The island of Vlieland

Vlieland has 1150 residents in 1 village. There is 12 km beach on the island.

The island of Terschelling

There is 30 km beach on Terschelling. There are 4 villages with 5000 residents.

The island of Ameland

Ameland has 4 villages, 3200 residents and 27 km of beach. The oldest house on the island is from 1625.

The island of Schiermonnikooog

Here you can meet 1000 residents in 1 village (build in 1760). There is 18 km beach on the island.

No residents here. Just birds and nature.
