Lioba Steinkamp (Würzburg, D, 1972), lives
and works in Amsterdam, NL, since 1998. She studied fine arts at
the AKI, Enschede, NL and post-graduated in 2000 at the Sandberg
Institute, Amsterdam, NL. Since 2001 she is the director of IncidenZ,
a foundation that produces and realizes utopias. Her art work investigates
the boundaries of the individual between reality and fiction. Steinkamp
is making use of existing film material that she re-edits in order
to establish new connotations. She is the initiator of the international
video-project How To Live Somebody Else's Life in which she asked
seven other artists to execute especially designed lives at five
different places for her.
Robin Brouwer (Alkmaar, NL, 1960) lectured contemporary
philosophy and semiotics at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Since
1998 he has been involved in several national and international art
projects as theorist and curator and also lectured at the Rietveld
Academy of fine arts in Amsterdam. As the director of gallery Podion
in Amsterdam he integrated theory in the art shows by organizing
lectures and debates. He investigates the relationship between theoretical
concepts and praxis, between object and connotation. In How To Live
Somebody Else's Life he worked as theoretic and helped establishing
and realizing the proejct. He also interviewed the participants as
an integral part of the process.
Mascha de Vries (Amersfoort, NL, 1972) studied
at the AKI, Enschede, worked for the Museum voor Hedendaagse Kunst
in Gent, worked at Villa Arson, Centre National des Artes in Nice
and post-graduated at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. She works
as a video-and performance artist and, in co-operation with Lars
Eijssen, she showed two different performances at teh Stedelijk Bureau
Amsterdam and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. As well as in her
video work as in her performances casting, styling and directing
are playing an important role.
Robert-Jan Verhagen (Nijmegen, NL, 1972) lives
and works in The Hague, NL. Verhagen studied graphic design and fine
arts at the KABK, The Hague and post graduated at the Sandberg Institute,
Amsterdam. His work contains as well photography and video work as
drawings and illustrations to investigate the tension between power
and impotence of the individual in modern society. In How To Live
Somebody Else's Life Verhagen focused on the relationship between
the individual and its environment, using the 'twin'-topic as a projection
of the inner dialogue.
Theun Karelse (Borssele, NL, 1974) studied fine
arts at the StJoost Academy, Breda, and post-graduated at the Sandberg
Institute, Amsterdam. He exposed his work in Paris, Amsterdam, frankfurt,
Aruba and Turin. His work is scientifically orientated and since
2000 he works on an illustrated portrait of Western Europe's history
and future, focusing on mathematics, physics, art, economy, psychology,
criminology and religion. In How To Live Somebody Else's Life Karelse
concentrates on the role time plays in quantumelectrodynamica. Hoe
does time flow work? What is the relationship between cause and effect?
How does the infrastructure of time look like?
Jennifer Tee (Arnhem, NL, 1973) studied fine arts
at the StJoost Academy , Breda, the Rietveld Academy, Amsteram and
post-graduated at the Sandberg Institute and the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam.

that integrate video work as well as objects, photographs and text.
She showed her work at Stedelijk Bureau Amsterdam, the Stedelijk
Museum, Amsterdam, Het Domein, Sittard and also in the USA, Germany,
Italy, Austria and China. In her work she investigated the tale of
different (ancient) cultures and in 2002 she traveled through Mongolia,
China and the USA.

Alberto de Michele (Venice, I, 1980) lives and
works in Amsterdam since 1990. He studied fine arts at the Rietveld
Academy, Amsterdam, and post-graduated at the Sandberg Institute,
Amsterdam. His work mainly contains video work, sound pieces and
installations. He showed his work at W139, Amsterdam, Kunsthal Rotterdam,
The Impakt Festival Utrecht and also in Brussels and Berlin. The
work of de Michele is mainly based on a principle, so simple that
it seems to function as a switch - it's either 'on' or 'off'.
Gijs Müller (Zutphen,
NL, 1971) lives and works in Amsterdam. He studied fine arts at the
AKI, Enschede, and
post-graduated at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. He gained
