Self-Sufficiency Artists: Robert-Jan Verhagen & Theun Karelse Robert-Jan Verhagen en Theun Karels act in the roles of twin brothers that live in a cottage in the middle of nowhere, which would be outside of IJhorst, a very small village somewhere in the north of The Netherlands. One brother (Theun) is completely obsessed by science and the idea that everything can be reduced to one formula. He would not be capable to survive the daily life without his twin brother (Robert-jan) who, on his turn, does not believe in anything and therefore sees life as one big game, even to the extension of death. It is the inner dialogue between ratio and emotion that is executed by them, which leads to conflict and disaster. Films used in screenplay
