Marion's Dolls Houses
A few years back I was obsessed with Dolls Houses. I owned a few houses, made a lot of things, was active in mail groups and participated in a lot of swaps. In short: I lived and breathed Dolls Houses. But then the yarn came into my life, knitting, cross stitching, needle binding, card weaving. I tried spinning as well but gave up on that. So the dolls houses went on a hold. I got rid of a lot but I kept one big house, the lighthouse my father build for me and some smaller projects. I knew that some day, that miniature bug would come back and bite me again. And so it did. But the yarn is still in my life too, so I'm not as obsessed as I was a few years ago, but I do want to make miniatures again and decorate my Victorian Villa and the Lighthouse.
The "breimeisjes" (knitted girls in English) are 3 hand knitted dolls made by Nella Dris (website is in Dutch) and they live in a 1:24 house. All my other projects are 1:12.
On my website I will show pictures of miniatures I made, and finished rooms. On my blog I will keep you updated with progress snapshots and stories.
