This amplifier consists of six identical power amplifiers. Each amplifier is a 200 watt amplifier. In each cabinet there are three of these amplifiers. This is done because of its weight.
In each cabinet the three amplifiers are connected in parallel. You can use the amplifier as a 2 x 600 watt stereo amplifier. When connect the two cabinets in parallel, you have got a mono amplifier of 1200 watts.
The amplifiers are driven by means of a transformer. A small amplifier drives this transformer.
This amplifier is a Marshall clone. It is a copy of the 2208 Marshall 50 watt guitar amplifier.
A complete discription is available to build this amplifier. Photos are there to illustrate.
If 50 watt is not enough, the schematic diagram of the 100 watts version is also available.
The EV4417 amplifier of the Australian Philips company uses the EL36 pentode as power valve. The schematic diagram of the EV4417 amplifier is given here.
This amplifier is an Australian Philips cinema amplifier EV44xx series and made of six EL36 pentode tubes. This amplifier is only the power part of the cinema audio system.
The pre-amplification, volume and tone control was situated near the projector.
In this part you can find datasheets and schematic diagrams of amplifiers from Philips.Only the EL64xx series are here. This chapter is not complete, if somebody has a service doc or a schema not listed, please send it to me so I can complete this chapter.
