Looking very smart in its 25 years celebration colours! The Army Air Corps display team is called Blue Eagles and they operate with a mix of Lynx AH7 and Gazelle AH1 helicopters from No. 671sq (Middle Wallop). Probably because of this No. 671sq helicopters often wear squadron markings. On this helicopter they can be found in the tail, with Lynx helicopters this bird usually is painted on the side doors.

Recently the AAC awarded the contract for the "new" Battlefield Light Utility Helicopter to Agusta-Westland Ltd. This means that the Lynx AH7 and AH9 helicopters will be modified extensively. The biggest modification will be the installation of a new, more powerful engine.
