On Saturday the 2nd of Jan. 2010 we toured into my beautiful Amsterdam with Mrs. Ingrid Brown and friends. We started from Boogaardsbnb in de Langestraat for our tour, walked to the "Herengracht" with the house of the Trip famaly from which Rembrandt painted a protrait of there daughter Maria Trip to been seen now in the Rijksmuseum together with the Nightwatch the most famous painting Rembrands where we stood in front of his hous on another Amsterdam canal called "Singel". You can click on the name of paintings hereabove of you did not manage to go the this museum.

We visited  the New Church where beause of the exhabition we could not see the Choir fence (before this our prince of Orange has to swear on the Dutch constitution if he want to become King of the Netherlands) on the Dam square, the hart of Amsterdam.

 

This is behind the Royal Palace, the former Town Hall of Amsterdam which I will show you next time you are in Amsterdam. Below my Happy New Year card made inside "my most beatifull building in the world"

From here we went to the former orphanage of Amsterdam (the girls and boys in red and black the coulours of Amsterdam) and went visited the regents room in what is now the Historical museum of Amsterdam. From ther we went to the Beguinage court with one of last 2 wooden houses,

on the Beguinage court we visited the Church of the miracle of Amsterdam and the English Church   with the window of the Pilgrim Fathers who left Amsteredam as to tolerant

 

We went on the the `Herengracht`to the Bible museum with the wonderful ceeling paintings for Jacob de Wit and the stuccu ceelings and the beautofull stairs and kitchen

We went on to the flower market, walked olong the movies of Tuschinski over the Rembrandt square over the river Amstel to the Hermitage and ended back on the Rembrandt square at Schillers for your lunch. I´m sorry I could not join you as I had to give a lecture about Rembrandt van Rijn the same evening outside of Amsterdam. Next time you come I will certainly accompany you for the lunch.

I hope you succeed to enter the Hermitage the next morning without a long que. Learned already from you email that you succeed to enter then next morning and visit the Rijksmusseum and the Rembrandt house too. Thanks a lot for the nice words about my tour on Wednesday.
