Martin wanted to buy a couple a' pipes from me so I said "how 'bout I send
you the pipes and you send me a tamper?" I mean I just hadda have one a'
them beauties. So he asked which one I liked. Hell, I just love those
Dragonwings he's got on his site so the choice was easy. He said he'd make
me one and today it arrived. I'm freakin' floored!!! First of all it's much
bigger than ya' think. The pictures ya' see on his site are nowhere near as
gorgeous as the real things. And the smoothness of the stone feels so great
in your hand. Not only that the grooves in the Dragonwing kinda' fit your
fingers so it's like its custom fitted for your hand. Just a beautiful piece
of work. So not only did he send this magnificent tamper, he sent a second!
A beautiful straight, tapered kinda'...geez I really suck at describin'
things, it's just a beautiful thing. Ya just gotta see one in person and
hold it in your hand to know what I'm talkin' about. Thanks a million
Martin. These of course will remain in my house where I can see 'em and not
lose 'em.

I got a box from the Netherlands today. It was quite a surprise because I wasn't expecting anything. The only person I know in the Netherlands is Martin who has those stone tampers.
Well, when I opened it, there it was. A dragon wing in alabaster. Beautiful to behold and awesome to hold. Cold, like an angel's tear it filled my hand with a chilly warmth. Incredible guys, I cant begin to describe this art work that is now mine to use.
The tamper is wondrous indeed, but the letter that accompanied it was what truly made the gift special. Martin sent this, not as a Christmas present, not as anything other then.. I don't know why! I cannot fathom what I did to deserve this! He thanked me for putting up his pictures. A small thing next to his craftwork in stone. Let me quote some of the text of the letter for you, it truly conveys the love this man has for his art, and he inspires with his words.
"Just think about it, this piece of stone was already there when the Egyptians built their pyramids!!! They used Alabaster too ... to make small pieces of art and jars to fill with ointment. I work with some types of stone more the 275,000,000 years old. Can you imagine ... a piece of history, right in your own hand, it has been there for millions of years waiting for me to make something out if it!"
Martin, thank you my friend. I cannot express my heartfelt gratitude for this gift enough. Not just for the tamper, but for the friendship and the love you put into this small piece of stone that made it so beautiful.

Get one of these, guys. If you are a collector or lover of pipe paraphernalia, order one. If you aren't and you know someone who is, get one. They are worth every penny he charges and much more. And he takes PayPal.

Thanks a lot for the tamper. This thing is absolutely gorgeous ... I
hope you do know that the pics on your site do not do it justice. It
really shows exellent workmanship.
I love the feel of it too. Very smooth and comfortable, and
surprizingly light as it is, I'm sure I'll have many days of happy
tamping to go.

The tamper arrived today. Man it is wonderful. I just love the way it feels
in my hand. Is it possible to make one out of that same material that I
could carry in my pocket. Let me know and we will get together on you making
me another one.
