This is the site of the Blue Texel sheep flock of the family Groot Nibbelink .

On this site you´ll find a good impression of our Blue Texel herdbook sheep breeding. Our herd is called “Brabants Blue”, which refers to our hobby breeding Blue Texel sheep and Belgian Blue cattle in de province Brabant in Southern part of the Netherlands.

Our other passion is breeding natural calving Belgian Blue herdbook cattle. We started with two heifers from the well known Dutch herd “van Boszicht” (look on this link to KI SAMEN, look for the “Boszicht bulls”).

Our sheep are certified free of Visna Meadi-virus and Brucella ovis. We are very keen on preventing malignant foot rot.

Since 2008 our herd is also certified free of scrapie (all sheep are genotype ARR/ARR).

In 2010 all of the sheep and rams used are genetically tested on hereditary microphtalmia. All sheep and rams are certified free !
