As I mentioned on the previous blog entry, I was thinking about redesigning this personal website. It took me longer than a month to finish it. The look is quite fresh (as promised) and it is quite straightforward. From now on I will be working on getting the pages work correctly.

Before I don't use dynamic pages to generate content and as I am lazy to retype or recreate pages, I needed to do some smart processing on the pages to simulate the dynamic behaviour.

To accomplish this, I started using jQuery, an excellent javascript framework which I basically adore. It is small in size, easy and flexiable to use. Besides the basic functionality of jQuery there are quite a lot plug-in available which can be directly used or modified for specific purposes.

The site has some glitches and I will try to remove these or at least make them less annoying. One item I also need to work are the other pages which are not a blog entry. I would to have the ScreenMeasure page at least. As the fitle says: The only way is forward from now on.

This is a Windows application I wrote years ago for measuring pixels on the screen, but is still very usable due to its unique features.
