I was nearly 7 years old when I get interested in pigeons.
That was because my father and two uncles also had pigeons.
Untill this day I can't miss them anymore. (the pigeons)

The first years I raced together with my father in a partnership.
Together with him I cleaned the lofts out and fed the pigeons.
I did find it marvelous to do.
My father was a short and middle distance racer and made great achievements with pigeons direct from Henk van Limpt "De Prut" from Reusel.

When I was 15 years old I got my own loft and I was going to play under my own name.
It was not as easy as I tought that it would be.
Sometimes I did change some off the eggs at my fathers loft
( He didn't know) to get better pigeons.
From that day on I was going to race better with those pigeons.
On my first race I achieved the 1st and 2nd from Creil.

And as a youthmember I had the most beautiful cock on the Show in our club.
At that moment things couldn't be going better.

Then I did basket some pigeons for my first extreme long distance race.
And ges what !!!! I clocked my first 2 nominated pigeons within a minute !!!!!!

From this day on I was in love with the extreme long distance races.

Meanwhile I was married and got a beautiful son and daugther.
When you have kids, then comes pigeonsport on a second place.
Because off my family I chose for the extreme longdistance.
That is easier to do because you got more time with your family.
Now we can go to a swimmingpool or on a holliday and go away for a weekend.
And when my wife is happy, so I'm a happy !!
