Dancers followed by a man who records the music…
The groups of the different sufi brotherhoods are dancing in extasis while children at gazing at the spectacle

The streets are still wet of the rain while people are waiting before the zawya of the saint… |
The feast of the mussem of Ben Aïssa is not always dominated by trance –
here a group who called themselves the ‘wolves’ and who are singing and dancing for pleasure on bare feets…

the garments they wear are decorated by typical motifs of the Imazighen of the Middle and High Atlas mountains…!
Even young kids in the same dress join their fathers in the dance… Before the entrance people are waiting for the arrival of the gifts… They protect themselves against the rain with umbrellas
A big tapestry arrives near the sanctuary |
The gifts arrive finally at the gate of the sanctuary of the saint Hadi Ben Aïssa - the tomb of the saint
Dressed in my jelleba I made illegally a photo (without flash) of the holy shrine, the tomb which is decorated with the new tapestries brought in as gifts |

Note: An essential element of the practice of the brotherhoods is the ritual of healing in their sanctuaries (the zawja's).
