How does RealAudio work?
RealPlayer retrieves audio, video, text, animation and other media to your desktop faster by using streaming technology. When a large media file (audio, video, etc.) is broken into smaller pieces so it can viewed immediately rather than having to wait for the whole file to be downloaded first. That is called Streaming Technology.
