Chordfinder 1.00

©2004-2005 Thaddy de Koning. Freeware for non commercial use.

This is a very simple guitar chordfinder with some nice features:

It works as follows:

  1. First select a midi instrument for audio feedback
  2. Second, select the root note
  3. Third, select the chord type
  4. Fourth, optionally select a tuning
  5. If you play the notes with the mouse, it will show up on the piano keyboard as well
  6. You can copy the chord to the clipboard via the options menu

The colors present different settings for the same chord. Note that when a setting is not to your liking, you can always subsitute a note with a certain color with a note in the next color.

The chords are always harmonically correct.

The root note is always indicated by a white circle.

Chordfinder was originally written and conceived for my good friend Hilde Voortman, a great singer/entertainer and a nice person with a hideous sense of humor.

Chordfinder was written in Delphi using the KOL library and the full sourcecode is included for free.
