The story so far...
Its 1944... Czechoslowakia is about to be liberated by the Russians and the last German troops are preparing the retreat. At the small station of Liptensdorf a few soldiers have gathered, the very last train back home is about to leave.
The men are tired and want to go home, their CO gives a few of them guard duty but most will be free to do as they please...
The people in Liptensdorf try to hide their joy of seeing the Germans leave, right now, so shortly before the liberation nobody wants to risk getting shot... nobody is taking any risks with the end of the war in sight... or...

The local Partisans are furious, after all this time of occupation and opression now the Germans are leaving town as if nothing ever happened, taking with them money and a train full of goods stolen from the Czech people.

GERMANS

You look forward to going home, away from the Russians and partisans.
Mind you, this town hasnt been to bad, nice friendly people, it could have been worse.
So here you are, your few possesions already loaded on the train and just waiting for the orders to get aboard.
The CO has given a few men guard duty, he has heard rumours that the partisans that have been quiet in this region are planning something.
One soldier must guard the railroad tracks, if these are blown up they will not be able to go home and will be eye to eye with the Russians within a few hours.
One soldier guards the depot were they store the weapons krate, another soldier guards the stairs in the station, these stairs go up to his office but for some strange reason the window in the room below cant be closed anymore.
The other soldiers are free to do what they want, as long as they dont wonder off too far.
There is a nice bar downstairs and sometimes theres a nice lady selling traintickets in the main hall... the men wont get bored.

ACHTUNG!
If ANYTHING suspicious happens, the CO can declare a emergency.
This will mean ALL German troops will barricade themself in the station, the civilians will be kicked out and ANYONE near the station will be shot at.
Suspicious acts will be cars blowing up, bomb going off at railroad tracks, electricity sabotage, shootings, etc.
The small building next to the station might be a refuge as well if the station is crawling with enemy.

Also remember that once the railroad tracks are blown up you know you can only escape with the vehicles, if they go, you are lost.
You know you wont be able to make it, you know the Russians are coming, you know you are as good as dead.
Soldiers might consider deserting of making a last stand, fight to the last bullet and then save the last bullet for yourself.

CIVILIANS

Hold on, just a few more hours, a day perhaps, and then the war will be over for you.
The town will be liberated soon!
The only Germans left in town are the ones at the station, just your bad luck thats where you have to be...
There can be several reasons for wanting to be at the station;

-Collaborator
During the war you have been on the German side, you hope they will take you with them on the train.

-Ticket seller
Although there will be no more trains today and it may take a day or so for trains to go back to regular schedule, you feel its your duty to be at the station.
There might be civilians trying to get on the German train, there might be refugees who need some care.
Or perhaps you just hope the National Railroad system will pay you extra hours for this...
So, get on your blue uniform and find your place behind the ticket window.
Remember though, the telephone connections and radio are also in your room, if someone wants to make a call, you will have to help.

-Bar owner
There is a nice but basic bar in the station.
Although you have heard the rumours of a Partisan attack, you simply cant resist the idea of all those bored German soldiers hanging around the place with pockets full of money they wont be able to use once they get on the train.
The bar owner will wear his apron and stand behind the bar.
Carefull though, the beer is expensive (100k) and after happy hour there might be people who cant resist the pile of cash at your feet...

PARTISANS

This is your moment!
The bastard Germans have left our town, they are all gathered at the station... theres only a few of them!
We only have one problem, were running low on weapons

The old railcrossing, perfect for a ambush but also the only save building we can use as a HQ

and ammo.
I know there are some weapons in a depot at the station, also we might have to kill a few Germans who are wondering off on their own.
But first we must make sure the Germans cant escape, place some TNT on the tracks, not the Train, we might need the train ourself later and its also filled with things they stole from us.
The German CO is probably upstairs, its the savest place in the building, I have foreseen this and sabotaged the downstairs window, this way we can sneak in and go upstairs.

On the outside there is a electricity box, if we destroy it there will be darkness but they will also be alerted.
Destroy or steal their cars, if the railroadtracks are gone they might try to reach their army with the vehicles.

Try and make prisoners, its the end of the war and they might be willing to negotiate.
We dont want to kill al soldiers, perhaps we can talk them into handing over their CO.
Besides, we mus try and find out if the train was going to stop at other stations and if there are any collaborators around.

IMPORTANT!
Do not act hastly!
Think about what we are doing, the second a shot is fired, a car is blown up, the tracks are blown up, the electricity goes out or a German soldier dies the Germans will panic.
They will barricade themself in the station, making it very dangerous for us to get to the CO.
So lets plan this and spend a few minutes checking out the place first!
If the Germans try to make a run for it, it would be a good idea to close the railroad crossing... its the perfect place for a ambush!
