Our First Parent

Our history begins on April 24 1711 in the German town of Burgsteinfurt with the birth of Gerd Palstring, who was to became a farmer.
He was married to Venne Bäumer on the 7 June 1733. In his marriage he adopts the family name of Bäumer. After Venne Bäumer`s death on June 4 1753, Gerd gets married for the second time to Venne Beckmann ( also: Fenne Beckmanns) on November 18 1753.
He dies on August 16 1762 and his second wife on July 29 1804.
They had three children: Gerd * November 7 1756, Wilhelm * March 12 1758, Rudolf * July 6 1760 at Burgsteinfurt.
We are going on with the eldest son Gerd. We find him in the marriage register of Vrouwenparochie in the municipality of Het Bildt (The Netherlands).
Here he gets married under the name of Gerrijt Gerrijts to Antje Paulus on October 3 1784.

Gerrijt Gerrijts Beimers, born in Burgsteinfurt Duitsland on November 7, 1756, christened there on November 8, 1756, died in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on December 11, 1818, son of Gerd Palstring (Bäumer) and Venne Beckmann. He was married in Vrouwenparochie (Fr.) on October 3, 1784 in church (1) to Antje Paulus, died in December 1802, daughter of Paulus Gerrits and Janke Roelofs.

1. Gerrit Beimers, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on October 20, 1785, christened there on November 20, 1785, died there on February 25, 1847. He was married in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on October 6, 1805 to Antje Wijgers Hoppinga, born in Engelum (Fr.) on January 23, 1784, christened there on February 29, 1784, died in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on February 4, 1856.

2. Paulus Beimers, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on October 25, 1789, christened there on November 29, 1789, died in Vrouwenparochie (Fr.) on April 23, 1858. He was married in Vrouwenparochie (Fr.) on May 1, 1813 (1) to Grietje Douwes Bruinsma, born in Vrouwenparochie (Fr.) on November 29, 1788, died there on December 25, 1818. He was married in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on December 7, 1823 (2) to Jantje Pieters Reitsma, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on August 2, 1791, christened there on August 21, 1791, died in Vrouwenparochie (Fr.) on March 14, 1846.

3. Roelof Boimers, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on January 10, 1792, christened there on February 26, 1792, died in Ternaard (Fr.) on September 28, 1842. He was married in Menaldum (Fr.) on February 20, 1820 to Antje Annes van der Veen, born in Oenkerk (Fr.) on October 26, 1799, christened there on December 8, 1799, daughter of Anne Baukes van der Veen and Sjoukje Andriezen.

4. Jan Beimers, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on January 29, 1794, christened there on February 16, 1794, died there on March 12, 1825. He was married in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on April 26, 1818 to Klaasje Johannes Spiering, born de Blesse (Fr.) on February 9, 1796, christened there on April 3, 1796, died in Vrouwenparochie (Fr.) on August 22, 1830.

5. Janke Beimers, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on November 28, 1796, christened there on January 8, 1797, died in Harlingen (Fr.) on March 23, 1846. She was married in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on April 26, 1818 (1) to Jan Alberts Kroes, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on May 17, 1789, died there on November 25, 1824. She was married in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on November 25, 1827 (2) to Tjeerd Goseling Jongsma, born in Burum (Fr.) on January 18, 1804, died in Harlingen (Fr.) on May 8, 1848.

6. Willem Beimers, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on December 2, 1799, christened there on January 19, 1800, died there on April 7, 1809.

Gerrijt Gerrijts was married in St Annaparochie (Fr.). on May 8, 1803 in church (2) to Trijntje Freerks, born in St Annaparochie (Fr.) on September 20, 1773, christened there on October 17, 1773, died there on August 29, 1817.
