	Acrylnitrile Butadiene Styrene	"The Stuff That Builds Dreams". ABS for short. Most important raw material for LEGO bricks since 1963. It replaced Cellulose Acetate and is more stable, colourfast and allows a better moulding precision (to 0.005mm ~ 0.0002in).
	Acronyms	Abreviation for speed up writing and online communication. Next to the common used Internet acronyms there are some acronyms specific to the LEGO community. Shiri Dori compiled a list of acromyms at her LUGNET member page here.
	Adventurers	A system within the LEGO SYSTEM product programme, introduced in 1998. Search the LUGNET set database for Adventurer sets
	AFOL	Acronym for Adult Fan Of Lego. It's probably most common used acronym in the LEGO community and refers to people who have building with or collecting LEGO as a hobby.
	Architect	Also known as the "Hobby and Model" series. Architect was meant for planning and reproducing house models and was rather meant for adults. Architect LEGO was available in 1962-65. Search the LUGNET set database for Architect LEGO.
	Aquazone	A system within the LEGO SYSTEM product programme, introduced in 1995 and discontinued in 1998. Search the LUGNET set database for Aquazone sets

	Automatic Binding Bricks	The first version of the LEGO bricks were invented in 1949 and named the "Automatic Binding Bricks". Until then there was no play system, only individual toys. The bricks filled that gap in the market.
