Originally
started as the Court Band of the ruling prince of carnival (1960), here
the line up of March 1966 gathered around "Prince Dre the first". |
Our
name then was "Hofkapel de Pierewaaiers".
A single was made
"Egerland heimatland" with on the B-side "Mexico".
It was recorded at
our habitual pub with the recording equipment standing in the kitchen!

 |
The
name changed into Aa-lander Musikanten (translated as "musicians of the
Aa grounds").
This line up is at
a weir of the river Aa, near Bakel. (Postcard of 1972.) |
|
Not to far into
the eighties our first LP was recorded.(Cut-out of the sleeve)
|
 |
 |
Our
25th anniversary was the reason for this second LP (1985).
(Pictured at the
-then still- green heart of Bakel) |

 |
| For
the Aa-landers the first CD recording was made in 1990 to remember our
30st anniversary.
|
Our
group counted for 20 members at that time!
