The boeing 737 is the most succesful commercial airliner ever. Boeing has build more than 2000 of them, in all versions (100-800). The newest version, the 800, had it's first flight in mid 1997 and is currently in service. This aircraft is in service with all the large carriers and many European flights are flown with this aircraft.

Turkish Airlines flies almost all flights on European countries. The only aircraft they have in their fleet which is supposed to fly on long routes, namely the Airbus A-340, but the only have 4 of those. The rest are A-310s, Boeing 727s, Boeing 737s and Avro RJ70s and RJ100s.
