About

The Music.
Music (Sangita) in India is closely linked with philosophy and religion. According to tradition the god Brahma taught song to the legendary sage Narada who in turn transmitted it to humans. See also About Music

Mainly Sitar and Tabla are used and therefore an atmosphere with strong images of India is being created. The original piece contains parts with choral voices of woman chant, singing repeating lines as in a procession.  Percussion instruments fade in later with rhythmic phrases called raga's or rag.

Conga's, Tabla's and Tambourine play rather fast rhythms and each play their own patterns with minimal variations.

Publishing on the WEB means finding a compromise in sounds as General Midi is the Standard on most Personal Computers. Unfortunately this means a loss of typical atmosphere of the original composition when played back on various "low budget" soundcards.
