Q: To add a new entry I have analysed a compound with MS/MS by fragmenting the M+H ion at different offset voltages in the daughter mode.
In the spectra I don’t see the parent ion. Do I have to use the parent ion to create the entry .

A: The (de)protonated molecule is an important mass of the compound. Therefore it is always put in the library entry at 100%

Q: When I have an Excel application open and I try to open the CICID library I get a macro error message.

A: The spreadsheet file opens six excel windows and starts an auto_macro to open the browser help window. The auto_macro only works properly by opening the file from a map or explorer window.
