English introduction
I am a young supporter and ‘fan’ of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij (KNRM, Dutch Lifeboat Association). About five years ago, I requested the official construction drawing of the new dutch lifeboat De Redder from lifeboat station Katwijk (The Netherlands) and I started with building a RC scale model. The construction of both the ‘real’ lifeboat and my miniature boat passed of quickly and I had a lot of contact with the KNRM and lifeboat station Katwijk. Things like that motivated me to finish the construction before the 16th of June 2001, the day that both ships would be named.

This website will show you the whole story of my scale model. In the purple column on the right you can take a look at the model from four different views (from above, the port side, the back and the front). The whole construction process can be discovered at the page called De boot. The page De bouwer tells you my own story, from the beginning till the end. The third page contains a couple of links to usefull websites. Click here for the latest photos of my scale model.

If you have questions or comments (or if you would like me to translate some parts of the website), you can send an email to kajbocker@mac.com. Unfortunately, the rest of the website has been written in dutch. Nevertheless, I hope you will enjoy it!
